PC-12NGX and PC24 Captain 
Otter is a vibrant and growing boutique air charter company based in beautiful Western Michigan. Our goal is to provide the safest, most hassle-free, amenity-rich air travel experience possible for our customers. We operate the industry's newest fleet of technologically advanced PC-12NGXs (and PC-24s arriving soon). Passengers and employees both will soon enjoy our world-class luxurious hangar facility and terminal that is currently under construction on the east side of Gerald R. Ford Airport. Team members' work life balance is of high importance, and we are committed to maintaining a strong QOL for our workforce. To ensure the ongoing quality of our product and culture of safety, we utilize world class training systems, prioritize aircraft maintenance, participate in industry recognized safety programs/oversight, and seek to employ only the best aviation industry professionals.

We are currently seeking a full-time Captain to join the Otter family. This individual must be comfortable working in a crew environment as all Otter flights operate with two pilots. Flight crew members play an integral role in the overall customer experience. The position also works closely with our maintenance technicians to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service available in the industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree
  • Part 135 and/or corporate flying experience
  • Pilatus PC-12 or PC-24 experience
  • 5,000+ Total flight hours
  • CFI/CFII/MEI

Required Qualifications:

  • FAA First Class Medical
  • Commercial Instrument Pilot - SEL, Airline Transport Pilot – MEL
  • Minimum Flight Time: 2,500 total, 1,000 PIC, 500 MEL
  • Turbojet type rating, Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, valid Driver’s License and ability to secure and maintain an Airport Badge as well as Passport
  • Professional demeanor with great communication skills and positive personality
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate within a 90 minute commute of the GRR Airport
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and NDR check, PRIA/PRD, and Drug screening

Aircraft Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly trained maintenance technician for Otter.  In this role, you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of Otter’s fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience.  Maintenance technicians maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and aircraft components and avionics systems according to Otter and FAA specifications; perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components; document maintenance procedures including component damage, origin, and condition; and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Job Description

  • Perform maintenance, inspection, repairs and modifications in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations and Otter Air Services’ policies and procedures
  • Facilitate line service duties as needed including aircraft towing, fueling, cleaning, and servicing of aircraft for arrivals & departures
  • Ensure facility upkeep and performs repair of ground support equipment 
  • Assists with snow and ice removal in winter operations as necessary
  • Assists the flight crews with aircraft departures and arrivals including loading baggage and parking vehicles of executive passengers, if required
  • Maintain and protect the privacy of customers
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the DOM

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Inspection Authorization
  • Pilatus PC12 and/or PC24 experience
  • Helicopter experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or similar field

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
  • Flexible to work various shifts that are dictated by aircraft flight schedules
  • 2-4 years directly related aviation experience (turboprop/jet/corporate aircraft experience preferred)
  • Good working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 43,65,91,135, and 145
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Computerized Maintenance Tracking programs (Traxxall a plus)
  • High School/GED diploma, or equivalent
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate within a 1.5hr drive of the GRR Airport
  • Ability to secure and maintain an airport issued security badge, valid Driver’s License, and Passport
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, and drug screening
